Andharban is located around 100 km from Navi Mumbai. The homestay owners can guide you through the forest and take you on short or long walks around the region. The entire stretch of Andharbhan trek is around 13km long but we decided to trek up to a waterfall and back.
At around 7:30 AM, Ganesh bhai, my sister and I left the homestay with Kaka (The caretaker). As soon as we exit the village, we were welcomed by beautiful views of the western ghats.
The walk isn’t that taxing. It is a pleasurable walk through the forest. There is gradual climb up to a small temple and then to the waterfall.
Though the waterfall had dried up at this time of the year, the view from there was spectacular. After relaxing there for a bit, we returned back to the homestay. After having some poha for breakfast, we left to Raigad. It was a short but interesting early morning trek.
