The weekend of 11th August passed by with lot of amusements.
Food and photography were the key focus!
I accompanied a Bengali friend of mine to try authentic Bengali
food at a restaurant in Koramangala called Bangaliana ( 1st B Main,
Koramangala 7th Block). Being a vegetarian I can’t do complete justice to the
culinary skills of Bengal but it’s always a thrill to investigate a cuisine for
tasty vegetarian options. And here I found – the delicious Aaloo Posto – A dish
made of potato and poppy seeds and Suktor Jhol made of raw banana
and other vegetables. Also extremely
thin sliced potato wafers called Aaloo Bhaja was a nice snack. For desert, we
had Rasagola and my favorite Misti dohi (Flavored yoghurt – fresh and yummy).
On Sunday morning (Aug -12th) at around 6:30AM we
were at Lalbagh for some photography; where of course I spotted the boy who
sold dreams. :-)
It was interesting how a crowd was gathered to get a glimpse of the follower show.
Here are few impressions from the photo shoot.
